1) WHAT IS THE ETHERNET?
Answer: Ethernet is a family of serial data computer networking technologies consisting of Wide Area Networks (WANs) and Local Area Networks (LANs) using serial data, and a variety of data communication protocols. It was standardized in 1983 as IEEE 802.3 and since then has been refined to support higher bit rates, longer link distances, and updated/new communication protocols.
